Pansies, violas, and mums, oh my!

Look at all these lookers we just got in! From a new Rainbow Swiss Chard to a few new colors of mums this new shipment came in strong! We also got a couple varieties of kale to accompany any fall assortments.

Sunday marks the first day of fall, y'all and we have a shipment coming of some pretties. A fresh batch of mums will be arriving soon!

We heard tricolors were your favorite, so we are making that happen.

The Green Mountain boxwood two ball!

These guys retain color throughout the winter, liking full to partial sun. Water when the first 3" of soil is dry. In natural form, these grow 5ft tall and up to 3ft wide.

Meet Thuja plicacta 'Whipcord'
An easy to care for Evergreen.
It's an excellent specimen plant or in grouping in landscape to add some extra appeal.
It's very slow growing, reaching a mature height of 4-5'. This plants growing zone is 5-7.

We have a shipment of some of the COOLEST topiary's, Shrubs, and trees! This one is SO tall, you have to see it in person!

Meet Thuja occidentalis 'Emerald Green' Arborvitae Spiral. Reaching a little over 6' tall! These remain green throughout the winter and are very hardy.

Tennessee is the ideal zone for all kinds of fruit trees. The state receives plenty of rainfall throughout the year falling around about 50 inches of rain every year.
Apple trees need to spend some time sitting on colder temperatures, below 45F in order to set fruit. This is known as chill hours.
Fall will be a great time to set apple tree into the ground. Making sure that you water consistently right after planting to ensure the trees establish good healthy roots.
Choose a spot with plenty of sunlight and make sure to mound the tree up on the soil as apple tree do not prefer clay soils. They like well-draining slightly acidic.
When planting apple trees make sure you obtain two so they can cross pollinate each other.
Here are some varieties that do well here:
- McIntosh
- Fuji
- Granny Smith
- Gala (A variety that happens to self-pollinate)
Apple trees are relatively low maintenance, ideal for TN climate. Choose a long season variety and you will get to enjoy apples in your own backyard!

Pumkin is ready for fall with is cool weather we have been having! Come by and pick up some plants we have on sale in our front greenhouse!

Cat mint
Low maintenance herb to use in your garden. It's a great deer repellant If you tend to have deer eating up your plants.

It's super easy and drought tolerant needing full sun and well-draining soil. It seems to be a better bet to mound this up if they require well-draining soil due to the amount of clay we have around Jackson. Give it at least two feet to spread when choosing a place to plant.

This is a great plant to add to the garden anywhere you want to see pollinators and hummingbirds. Along with the show you can put it anywhere you want to enjoy it aromatically!

Meet Miss Huff - Lantana

A beautiful perennial shrub that can reach 2-4 feet or larger in height and width.

Very resistant, these beauties can tolerate high heat and some light frost.

Lantana are beautiful low maintenance pollinators.
