I expect that some, if not all of the winter storm watch areas will be upgraded to warnings or at least advisories shortly. Before 5 PM.

Models are still in disagreement. Some are “over-amplified” in my opinion, though we can’t completely discard their solutions just yet.

I am going to side with the 12Z NAM. It has been consistent, and it seems to be the most reasonable given the overall atmospheric setup. I am attaching potential snowfall output from the 12Z NAM run using the 10:1 ratio. As always, it is possible that this track may shift either more NW or SE by 25 or even 50 miles. Regardless, winds and significant blowing/drifting of snow are going to be a problem.

Either Phil or myself will update again later this evening once we review the next set of model runs. Please make preparations now for a very impactful winter storm.
