REMINDER -- The Relay for Life of Oktibbeha County that was originally set for TODAY, May 11, is being postponed. We will NOT have Relay this weekend.
As the Leadership Team was trying to finalize details and logistics for the event, there were some issues we could not overcome to be able to stage the quality Relay event this community deserves.
Instead, we have rescheduled the Relay for Saturday, Sept. 28, beginning at 4 p.m., with setup beginning at noon. The location will continue to be Fire Station Park on Lampkin Street near downtown Starkville.
The Relay Leadership Team thanks everyone for their patience and understanding, and we look forward to an awesome Relay for Life event on Sept. 28!

Friends, due to some logistical issues that have arisen, the Relay for Life of Oktibbeha County that was originally set for this Saturday, May 11, is being postponed. We will NOT have Relay this weekend.
The Relay Leadership Team did not reach this decision lightly. As we were trying to finalize details and logistics for the event, there were some issues we could not overcome to be able to stage the quality Relay event this community deserves.
Instead, we have rescheduled the Relay for Saturday, Sept. 28, beginning at 4 p.m., with setup beginning at noon. The location will continue to be Fire Station Park on Lampkin Street near downtown Starkville.
We believe this change will be beneficial for the leadership team and our Relay teams, allowing all of us greater time to plan a quality event, conduct fund-raisers and to involve our survivors, previous/new Relay teams and other supporters.
The Relay Leadership Team thanks everyone for their patience and understanding, and we look forward to an awesome Relay for Life event on Sept. 28. Together, we WILL find a cure!

Mark your calendar for September 25th to be in Starkville. The passion never died for this community but covid and a little burnout changed the landscape. Watch my personal page for details in the days ahead. I love you all and I hope that whatever you've been through in the last few years, God has been right there with you. I'm grateful for each of you.

Well there's no in person event this year in the Golden Triangle as far as Relay for life goes. There will be a virtual event on October 22nd beginning at 10:00 a.m. going through October 23rd at 10:00 a.m.. the virtual event will take place over YouTube and be fairly simple. I'm looking for videos from cancer survivors and cancer caregivers to share on this channel as well as luminary type dedications. The event is actually cold the Relay for Life of amateur radio. I've been involved in amateur radio for several years nine now I believe. Alongside the virtual Relay for Life event I'm hosting a special event station on the air with other ham radio operators. This is more about community and coming together then it is about fundraising this year. I just want to help bring the passion back for relay one step at a time. You can look up the event on the ACs website if you would like to sign up as a participant or if you want to make a donation. If you want to help in some way or have questions please message me or feel free to email me if you wish. Email is [email protected]
