It was a day of clearing thorn trees in Dog Holler. Checked the lettuce, beets and onions. All doing great. Can't wait to get our taters in the ground once it dries up a bit. We might not make the St Patricks day goal but look forward to seeing how the location does. Rhubarb is coming up too!

It's a hot one in the ol' holler today. Monte is moving hay bales and the taters are growin for sure after all the rain this past week. Firewood season is also upon us. It's not too early to reserve a few rank for the upcoming winter. These 90s don't last forever.

Farmers Market season starts this week with Cape on Thursday in the Galleria parking lot. We'll have dutch apple pie, cranberry pecan scones, pecan pie and an assortment of cookies. A bit of lettuce and spinach too. Come out and see us! We'd love to show you our progress on the bakery "The Pie Safe Bakery and Cafe" in Pocahontas.

Potatos are planted and spinach is coming on strong. May 1 is opening day for the Jackson Farmer's Market. We will also be participating in the new Rivermarket in Cape on Saturdays 8-12 along with the Cape Thursday Market. The Pie Safe remodeling is coming along as well and we hope to open in early April.
