Thank you to all those who make these camps possible: JMS Russel Metals, Tennalum, Delta Faucet, SRI Rebar, Hitachi Energy, Leaders Education Foundation, Mars/Pringles, TLM Associates, Reinhausen Manufacturing, American Fire Protection Group, Linkous, Jackson Energy Authority, USJ, State Farm (Wes Harris), Quality Metal Stamping, Teknor Apex, Nidec - Lexington, Gerdau, Commercial Band and Trust Jackson, and John Cole.
Engineering majors Amy Nason and Ashley Kamps mentored team Ella with the goal of designing a device that helps Ella stay focused on the task at hand.
Team Liam - four 8th and 9th graders - were mentored by Union University engineering major Stacia as they designed a custom page turning device, allowing Liam to more independently read books.
Check out the amazing work by Christian, Emma, Evers, Isaac, and Jake on their project for Latesha. This team has been our first multidisciplinary Make:able team representing the Engineering Department and Union University McAfee School of Business.
Joseph, Seth, and Harper on team Stephen were mentored by engineering majors Bobby Perry and Ethan Duncan.
Union students Brady (sophomore) and Caleb (upcoming freshmen) partnered with Pierce and Lucas to design this creative adaptive toy for River.
Our first 2026 Make:able project and video is finished. Check out this amazing project, allowing Noah to play Farming Simulator with his dad. Thanks to engineering major Philip Chase for being an awesome team mentor to a team of 7th graders this year.
