Keep Jackson Beautiful
Founded in 1961, Keep Jackson Beautiful promotes neighborhood beautification, litter control, and environmental education/stewardship.
Keep Jackson Beautiful is a non-profit organization of neighborhood leaders, funded in large part by private donations that promotes a cleaner, greener Jackson, educates our youth about the importance of civic pride, waste recycling, and environmental stewardship, sponsors community cleanups, recycling programs, and neighborhood beautification projects.

November 15, was National Recycling Day and in honor of this day KJB organized and partnered with Solid Waste Department, Councilwoman Lashina Brown-Thomas, Sherwin Williams, and Food Depot to make this clean up a resounding success. Although we were few in numbers, we collectively made a significant impact, collecting over 2 loads of trash, limbs, tires, and a couch. We successfully recycled 7-8 tires during this clean up. It will take all neighborhoods and communities working together to Keep Jackson Clean.
Many thanks to the volunteers and the resident that bought us breakfast.
It was such a great clean up!

The National Folk Festival was truly exceptional. A special thank you to all volunteers and those who stopped by our table to learn more about our programs. Mr. Seymore Bell did an outstanding job assisting as a Team Leader for the Green Team. I eagerly anticipate next year's festival.
