Jackson Community Theater

We want to share an important update with our Tumbleweed community: Andrew Munz has stepped down as Artistic Director, following the tragic passing of his mother late last year. The Board of Directors has accepted his resignation, recognizing his need to heal during this difficult time.

We are deeply grateful for Andrew’s leadership and tireless dedication to Tumbleweed Creative Arts. He helped reimagine what the Pink Garter Theatre could be for this community. Because of his work, countless local artists have had opportunities to create, perform, and grow.

During this transition, the Board of Directors has assumed oversight of the organization and is actively evaluating next steps for leadership, programming, and operations. We are focused on ensuring that Tumbleweed Creative Arts is positioned to operate sustainably while maintaining its mission.

Guided by that artist-powered, community-driven mission, Tumbleweed is convening an Artist Convocation, bringing together artists who have participated in past TCA productions to share input and help shape the organization’s next chapter.

Members of the broader arts community are encouraged to share feedback through a brief input form at tumbleweedcreativearts.org/input. Submissions will help inform the Board’s planning during this transition.

The Brewster house is about to explode with chaos…in the funniest and strangest possible way.

“Arsenic & Old Lace” brings murder, mayhem, and a whole lot of Jackson talent to the Pink Garter Theatre. When Mortimer Brewster (Josh Griffith) learns that his sweet aunts (Linda Rode & Rhea Lewis) have been “helping” lonely old men to their final rest, his night unravels fast. Add in a homicidal brother (Jake Morrison), a nervous plastic surgeon (Graham Koten), and Teddy (Ian Chapman) charging up the stairs… and you get a deliriously charming mess.

Things get more complicated with the arrival of Elaine (River Grace Nelson), Mortimer’s unsuspecting, sweet finance, and the local police, led by Officer O’Hara (Mason Marshall), an aspiring playwright with terrible timing…

This classic American comedy is the perfect madcap for all ages, performed by Jackson’s beloved theatre veterans and rising stars. This production also marks the beginning of our permanent partnership with Jackson Community Theatre! Come laugh with us! But don’t drink the elderberry wine…
