When Meg and Ryan planned their winter wedding I don’t think they were expecting 53 degree and sunny in February, but it sure was nice to be playing around without a jacket on capturing their love yesterday!

Rain turned to snow Friday an hour before this moment, just in time for Jason to propose to Annabel in a perfect winter wonderland!!

I mean seriously, is this place real??? I just did this photoshop last week for but somehow editing them and looking back now it almost feels like a dream. The rugged beauty, getting so close to such powerful animals and cooking dinner in a field soaking up the colors of fall.

I feel very fortunate to capture moments and experiences like this for a living.

Fall is here, the colors are popping and these two were jumping! I love shooting local couples and friends celebrating their love in playful and memorable ways. We truly have one of the most beautiful backyards for taking photos in! ❤️🍁🍂

I made it home last night from spending an incredible week up in East Glacier Montana on the Blackfeet reservation shooting . Echoing the voices of many that attended this unique festival, words really can’t describe the power it held and the spark it ignited.

I’m still sleep deprived so attempting to describe the last week of rugged beauty, powerful and emotive music and cultural enlightenment and connection isn’t coming easily and I know the experience is still all sinking in. However, I feel honored to have had the opportunity to capture a glimpse of it all, but I even more honored to have been welcomed with such open hearts by the Blackfeet community. Your stories, your hugs, your gifts, your trust and belief in this crazy idea and group of strangers is humbling and inspiring. The evolution of working with local high school students through the internship program brought tears to my eyes watching some of the shy kids I worked with day one, get on stage with their heros to drum and head bang by the end of the festival, or stand beside me in the photo pit taking their own pictures of bands they never imaged meeting. You taught us to confront darkness and not hide from it, and that music can be a cathartic release.

I also couldn’t be prouder of my husband for following his passion to bring this to fruition, and so grateful to the best group of friends new and old who worked so hard to pull this festival off.

Now to start sorting through the over 10,000 photos I took this weekend and to catch up on sleep!!

The sun was hot. Her dress was sexy, and everything about the evening felt calm and easy going just focused on their love.

Sometimes the skies open up to blue, as gentle snowflakes fall from the trees, making for the perfect winter day to capture love. We couldn’t have gotten a more beautiful morning for Amber and Jason’s engagement session last week ❄️❤️

Working in my element with the best crew of people imaginable, being serenaded by the most incredible musicians daily and meeting life long friends in guests. is more than just a vacation, it is a tribe, a life changing adventure and dream where connection to nature and culture collide.
