On August 31st, we honor International Overdose Awareness Day, the world’s largest campaign to end overdose, remember those we've lost, and support the families left behind. Last year, over 1,000 Mississippians tragically lost their lives due to accidental overdoses—each one a preventable loss.

Join the Mississippi Public Health Institute in raising awareness, reducing the stigma of drug-related deaths, and promoting actions to prevent overdoses. We will gather on the Natchez, Mississippi Bluff from 8 am-12 pm, alongside the Natchez Downtown Farmer’s Market.

New DOT Clearinghouse Return to Duty Regulations to Take Effect Late 2024 On June 27, 2023, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) announced new regulations regarding commercial driving privileges.

Roadcheck 2023 blitz to focus on ABS, cargo securement CVSA’s 72-hour inspection and enforcement blitz in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico takes place May 16-18 at weigh/inspection stations and other designated areas along roads. The event last year put 12,000 trucks and 4,000 drivers out of service.
