Due to a printing error, mailed military retiree 1099-Rs for 2020 are missing the last digit of the Payer’s Federal ID Number (FIN). The correct Payer’s FIN is: 34-0727612. You will need this number to complete your taxes. We apologize for the inconvenience.

DFAS will mail corrected forms no later than Feb. 1.

The 2020 Social Security tax deferral has ended but the collection period was extended! Collection of your 2020 deferred taxes will occur between January and December 2021 (instead of Jan – Apr 2021). The temporary 2020 Social Security tax deferral ends in December. Starting in January the collection of your 2020 deferred taxes will be taken from your pay as well as your normal 6.2% Social Security tax withholdings.
