No Spring Creek Ranch Wildlife Safari would be complete without a delicious lunch in a pretty spot.

"We did the wolf-bear excursion with you last week. Seriously, no words for what a fantastic two days we had!! Not only the amazing highlights of Yellowstone and the wildlife, but you were so amazing with my 15 yo son Ryan. You talked with him for hours about climbing and mountain biking and was always positive and enthusiastic. You pulled over and spent time climbing and exploring with Ryan - it was the highlight of Ryan's trip! Amazing two days!!"

It's officially Morel Foraging Season in the Tetons. These "sacred mushrooms" are actually more related to the truffle than they are to other mushrooms. I like to serve them over steak. With the rain we had yesterday, they should really be popping up. Foraged in nature, they are coveted by chefs and can sell for $20 per pound!

A few photos from yesterday's Best of Yellowstone Tour. Really enjoyed helping Robyn, Michael, John, Jene, Steve and Holly discover some of the treasures of Yellowstone National Park.

Bighorn sheep live in some of the most rugged climates in North America. Visitors at Spring Creek Ranch have the best chance of seeing Bighorn Sheep during their “rut” season in mid-November and December when they move into their winter range at lower elevations. The American Marten is one of the smallest mammals you'll find in our area. It's actually a weasel about the size of a mink. They can travel almost 3 miles a day, but usually average about .6 miles. Its' babies are called kits and are about the cutest things you've ever seen.
