We were honored to speak at the MAIS Administrator Conference last week, joining more than 150 school leaders that showed up to make their schools stronger. Brink may have had to scoot around the stage with a bum ankle, but fortunately the administrators came for the content, not the footwork! Thanks to MAIS for having us.

The team is growing! Please join us in welcoming Michael Bearden to the Defend Systems team — a 20-year U.S. Army veteran, former Special Forces Team Sergeant with 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), and the 2021 Special Forces Instructor of the Year.
After years serving in combat and counterterrorism operations overseas, Mike went on to serve as an Instructor at the Special Forces Senior Leader Course, where he trained military leaders at the highest levels.
Most recently, Mike served as a Governor’s Veteran Fellow with the State of Tennessee.
Mike’s combination of operational experience and instructional expertise make him an incredible addition to our mission of helping people prepare for and respond to crisis situations. Mike looks forward to connecting with our clients and continuing to serve others through Defend Systems!

Rapid Response Trauma Medical
🎙️ PRE-EVENT TRAINER & BREAKOUT SPEAKER, Adam McIntyre is a retired U.S. Army Master Sergeant with 20 years of service, including 15 in Special Forces. As a Green Beret with the 5th Special Forces Group, he completed multiple deployments to the Middle East, served as an 18F Intelligence Sergeant, and later led a 12-man SFOD-A as an Operations Sergeant. He also spent 3.5 years as a Military Free Fall Instructor at the Advanced Tactical Infiltration Course. Adam completed numerous elite courses, including Ranger School, Special Forces Sniper Course, Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat Course, and Military Free Fall Jumpmaster. Adam brings his leadership and tactical expertise to Defend Systems as an Instructor, providing Tactical Response Training for church security teams, armed guards, and law enforcement.
👉Participants will be trained in life-saving techniques that address the two leading causes of preventable death in combat and high-threat environments: massive hemorrhage and tension pneumothorax. While these interventions originate from battlefield medicine, they are equally applicable to active shooter incidents, workplace emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, and even at home.
