Sharon Terry, LPC, represented ACT Center at the See, Test and Treat event on Saturday, April 11th at at the UMMC Pavilion.

This important initiative brought together volunteers from UMMC, CCRI, and health advocacy groups across Mississippi to provide free cancer screenings for underinsured and uninsured individuals. Early detection saves lives—and so does prevention.

Robert Lock, LPC attended Marching for a Cure on March 26th at Hinds Behavioral Health Services to provide valuable to***co cessation resources and support for our community. Every conversation, every resource shared helps move us closer to healthier lives. 💚

See, Test & Treat

Join us on April 11, 2026 at the UMMC Pavilion (1410 East Woodrow Wilson Ave., Jackson, MS) for a FREE community cancer screening event.

This event offers free screenings for cervical, breast, oral, and lung cancer for eligible participants, along with health education and access to helpful community resources. Light refreshments will also be available.

This program is designed for uninsured and underinsured men and women who meet eligibility guidelines.

ACT Center holds pinning ceremony honoring to***co treatment graduates Last week, the ACT Center for To***co Treatment, Education and Research celebrated over 40 individuals who have committed to a to***co-free lifestyle during a pinning ceremony for the program’s graduates.

On Friday, December 12, the ACT Center team came together to recognize the success of our patients and their journey toward becoming to***co-free. It was an honor to celebrate our incredible patients! Thank you so much to those that made the time attend. Again, we are so proud of you all!
