Spring is in the air...and on the menu!

Tonight (Saturday) the Rook turns 9 years old. In restaurant years that’s solidly middle aged. We’re probably gonna take up some new hobbies like collecting rare stamps or bird watching. Come see us tonight for some bubbles and duck fat fries. We can trade stories about the good old days and how not-to stowaway on a cruise ship.

In an effort to encourage citizens to capitalize on the 24 minutes of golden hour (and fire selection of wines) available we bring you Happy Hour.

We’re downright giddy about making the wine experience more accessible from 4-5pm with $8 wines by the glass. Come chase the sun with us to a great vintage - or brew (beer drinkers, we didn't forget about you, $5 drafts available too)

Ithaca, you may have been wondering what we’ve been up to. We haven’t exactly been sitting around while we’ve been closed. We took some time for a little core self care and moved. We traded in our knives for drills and our jiggers for Proton Packs. Instead of coming to tables, we started building them. We eliminated steps and untangled daisy chains.

We made A LOT of dust.

Believe us when we tell you, we’ve missed you as much as you’ve missed Uncle G’s duck fat fried chicken and then some. It won’t be long now, Ithaca, we can’t wait to have you over to the new digs…

Ithaca, we’ve got good news and bad news. The bad news is that next week is our last week at our home of 8 years at 404 west state street. (Come by for a last meal with us) We’re gonna miss this home, with all the memories that each of you made with us, especially when things were tough during Covid.

The good news is that we’re moving to a new home at Library Place (corner of Court & Cayuga). We’ll be closed for a bit while we set up shop at our new Travis Hyde property, hopefully reopening in late September/ early October. Stay tuned for all the details in the next few weeks. It’s gonna be a fun year ahead. You just wait…
