Our Story
The Afterschool Language and Culture Program was founded in 2009 with the objective of introducing American schoolchildren to foreign languages early in their education and to inspire them to learn about other countries.K–12 students from the upstate New York region interact with and learn from students, faculty, staff, and other volunteers from the Cornell community who are inspired to teach a language to children and share their culture in a fun and engaging way.
