July is approaching and that means another EZ Listening is on the way. July 14th will be the date and Room K at K-House Karaoke & Arts Hub will be the place! This time we are mixing things up a bit and bringing you a night full of techno so be ready to dance! Instead of our normal vinyl deep listening we will be bringing you a DJ set by Black, MA. Glitter Skulls and steprightrun will be performing hour long sets. All we need now is YOU! We will be starting promptly at 7 so don't be late! This is an all ages event and no one will be turned away due to lack of funds! See you there!

Synth Jam is back at Room K in K-House Karaoke & Arts Hub. The premise is very simple: bring your synthesizer and play with like minded individuals. Want to learn more about synths? This event is for you! Love listening to electronic music? This event is definitely for you! The fun starts at 7 pm. Early load is at 6. The best part? This event is free! June 9th, tomorrow is EZ Listening: Thurbs, Jeremy Bussmann, Norm Scott in Room K at K-House Karaoke & Arts Hub. It's time for our last artist bio! This time we've got Norm Scott!

Inventor, sound designer, and video editor Norm Scott builds wacky contraptions and audio-visual installations, both functional and imaginary. His penchant for documenting family and friends with a handheld tape recorder eventually yielded a career in audio recording and production, and a handful of albums, including the contemporary works "H2so4" and "Bone Music". In recent years, Norm has worked locally with House of Ithaqua, Cherry Arts, Arhanta Studio, and the Beyond Art Collective to lend his interdisciplinary talents in videography, sound design, music composition, and motion graphics. He currently divides his time between PhotoSynthesis Productions, Cornell University, his own venture Scott Mediaworks, and the crucial work of being a dad.

Jeremy Bussmann is a multi instrumentalist from Ithaca, New York. A drummer by trade, listeners can expect three things: drone jar, drumset, and delay. This is his first solo noise performance and he’s ready to get weird.

Liv Clarke (Gender Extremist) had a dream last night Ryan Gosling was trying to get her to go to Basement. Liv Clarke's doctor is raising her ADHD medication so you better watch out because she has dozens of half finished projects she will be completing soon. Liv Clarke found the cure to the male loneliness epidemic. It's estrogen. Liv Clarke thinks we have gotten too liberal about gender. She believes two genders is too many, and believes in the one true gender written about in the Bible. When Liv Clarke really wants guitar pedals but funds are limited, she goes to the casino. Liv Clarke quit smoking two years ago and really needs a cig.

Tuesday May 12th is EZ Listening: Wooden Lung, Sunken Cheek, Gender Extremist at K-House Karaoke & Arts Hub and we are back with artist bios! Next up is Sunken Cheek!

Sunken Cheek is the original solo noise project of lthaca NY's Weston Czerkies. The project began in 2010 as side-work to playing in hardcore bands, but eventually took on a life of its own. Sunken Cheek focuses on themes of paranoia, mental distress, loss, and death. To hone these thoughts to a sonic form, Czerkies employs the use of tape recordings and amplified objects/voice. The project has had fluctuating periods of activity over the years, but remains active with new recordings in the works. Previous releases can be found on Torn Light, Found Remains, Augh/Void and on Czerkies' own imprint, Prime Ruin.
