Why is BCR behind on emails?
It’s kitten season!
And being a rescue, we focus on kittens like this; kittens who are emaciated, flea anemic, and overwhelmed with parasites.
We have kittens who need tube feeding (shout out to the amazing Eliot) fading kitten care and daily meds and bandage changing needs. And some of these kittens can’t be left alone for more than 3 minutes at a time, or they’re done.
We appreciate everyone looking out for the little guys, and patience while we look for more hours in the day.

No thoughts, only vibes.

Its purricane season!
Mama decided two kittens were more manageable than five…so after keeping a close eye to make sure we weren’t kitten-napping; amazing human Miranda scooped them up…thus ensuring that we won’t be napping for a while. 😹

When you have one hour until you have to be at the Ithaca Parade, but someone reaches out about a seriously degloved 5 week old kitten…you take in the whole family! Accolades to Dr. Bonnie at Cayuga Pet Hospital for taking some x-rays and bandaging up this little bean at the shortest of notice. She’s all snuggled up with some churu and pain meds now; thanks to good hearted folk her story won’t end here.

With NYS making it harder to operate as a foster based rescue; obtaining this space is going to be a literal life saver.
