Thank you, Colgate University, for choosing the Climate Fund as one of the university's carbon offset projects!

From their website, "The committee strives to balance the values most important to the community with the quality of the projects and the overall costs of investing in such initiatives."

Colgate’s donation will directly support local families in Madison County, including those in Hamilton, where the University is located. These funds help income-eligible homeowners access the resources they need to complete energy-efficient home upgrades, improving indoor comfort while reducing household carbon footprints.

Two Goats Brewing is a true gem in Schuyler County. People can enjoy breathtaking lakeside beauty (with spectacular sunsets!) and live music with friends. They are also a business deeply committed to sustainability and supporting its community.

Their sustainability efforts include:
- Geothermal and solar power, which provide about 75% of their electricity
- Composting, reusing, and recycling roughly 80% of their waste
-Prioritizing regional and ethical sourcing.

They also give generously back to their local community, like our climate fund program!

Sustainable Finger Lakes has awarded climate fund grants to 5 households in Schuyler County. One of the strengths of the FLECA network is having members across the region, which allows you to invest directly in the communities where these businesses operate.

When you visit, make sure to grab a beer and try their signature beef-on-weck sandwich. Thank you, Two Goats Brewing, for renewing your partnership with us!

Discover Cayuga Lake is committed to providing equitable access to Cayuga Lake for people to appreciate the importance of the Finger Lakes watersheds for local ecosystems, human use, and natural beauty.

They make an offset donation to the Finger Lakes Climate Fund annually to cover the emissions from the fuel used to power their boat, the MV Teal. This boat has been the host of many educational programs and community cruises. The team has plans to expand their education and lake access programs, so make sure to keep an eye out!

We’re excited to get back on the boat with Discover Cayuga Lake later this spring and summer. Thanks for another year of partnership!
