They’re here!! They’re here!!! I am THRILLED to announce we have our new Hard Ice Cream Flavors and they’re FABULOUSSSSS!!!! We have Peppermint Chip with just the right amount of peppermint and CHOCOLATE SHAVINGS!! AND. THEN. My new favorite ice cream in ALL THE LAND- Gorge Trails is our Dark Chocolate ice cream with HEAVENLY RIBBONS OF PEANUT BUTTER *and* Peanut Butter Cups!!!!!! I’m a huge fan of Chocolate and Peanut Butter together and frankly I was a diehard Vanilla base ice cream gal until I made our Chocolate ice cream and am now a convert!! If you aren’t a Peanut Butter fan, we do have just the chocolate ice cream which I will be changing the name to Dark Chocolate once we get through the initial packaging. For now, these beautiful babies are *only* available at our soft serve shop in @downtownithaca but will soon enough be in stores throughout the land!! Calling all food businesses and entrepreneurs in the greater Ithaca area! Please complete this online survey no later than May 6, 2022. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ithacakitchen

Problem: A lack of available commercial kitchen space in the Ithaca region is an impediment to the growth of the food economy.

Goal: Ithaca Area Economic Development and the City of Ithaca Office of Economic Development are gathering information to analyze the feasibility of establishing shared-use commercial kitchens and food-business incubators in Ithaca, NY.

Locations: We are evaluating two potential locations: one on the Ithaca Commons focused on food stalls and retail and one in the West End focused more on production/food manufacturing, culinary training and catering. Both would include full lines of cooking equipment, separated production cubicles, and cold /frozen /dry storage. The West End location also includes a loading dock.

Intention: To assess the needs of existing and potential food businesses in the area with an interest in commercial kitchens, as well as the types of food businesses, processes used, their growth goals, equipment they need etc.

Proposition: Please take 10 minutes to share your input on the need for shared-use commercial kitchen facilities in Ithaca. Please respond by May 6, 2022.
