Breakfast in Bloom!

This past Saturday, we welcomed the families of our Youth Employment Service teens and visitors to to enjoy homemade muffins with HillBerry blueberries and a delicious scramble with fresh herbs and veggies from the Garden and pesto from our cooking class with GreenStar Natural Foods Market chef Sean McKean.

GreenStar Community Projects was established in 2007 by GreenStar Coop with the mission of collaboratively building a community food system that nourishes everyone.

GSCP engages in this work through interconnected projects that effectively share skills, knowledge and resources to end hunger with the communities of Tompkins County.


  • The Childhood Nutrition Collaborative aligns cross-sector individuals and organizations addressing hunger under a shared work plan that reshapes the local food system so all children get daily nourishment.

  • Local Food Network sessions have brought together over 170 food-related organizations and more than 800 individuals fostering collaborative approaches to end hunger & protect the earth.
