Futa (13M) ARRIVES July 23rd - DEPARTS August 16th
Futa is in need of a host family for her summer homestay here in NYS. Hosting is easy! Our delegates are here to enjoy an American Family Summer. No need for extra trips or travel and they are here to enjoy the simple things. Go grocery shopping, camping, hang out in the back yard and just make new friends.
Pick up and drop off in Syracuse, NY
Host families need to have a bed for thier delegate, but they can share a room with their host sibling who is the same gender and of similar age (10 - 17).
No need to be a 4-H member, this program is open to all eligible families in NYS.

Nature is nurture. As mentors and friends, we help young people connect to profound discovery by engaging nature’s elements and navigating its wonders. Within a safe explorative space in the outdoors, imagination and fascination are set free through stories and adventures. Each day at Growing Wild children wander in nature, sing sun-filled songs, and share heart-felt stories. Each week features a different theme to guide our journey, and a variety of natural materials, such as clay, rock-paint, bark, and leaves to create works of art that reinforce learning. Our 4-H Acres forest playground includes a meandering stream, towering oaks, logs and hills to climb, trails and forts to explore, a fire circle, and our beloved peace-making bench. At Growing Wild children grow in their comfort, confidence, and appreciation for the wonders of life.

Our very own Emily Ralph represented Tompkins County at the 91st 4-H Capital Days Award Trip, held May 17–19, 2026 in Albany, NY.

Alongside fellow 4-H teens from across New York State, Emily toured the State Capitol, learned about various NYS departments, explored how local government operates, and had the opportunity to meet with her local legislators.

This special trip is awarded to just two teens each year and is made possible through funding from the Tractor Supply Clover Campaign. 🍀 Thank you to all who support the campaign, the money donated stays local and makes programs like Capital Days possible!

Renee Tarantelli won Best Junior Handler at the Miniature American Shepherd National Specialty in Grey Summit Missouri.

She also got her 5th class win Qualifying her to Compete in juniors at the 2026 AKC National Championship in Orlando in December!
