Ithaca Reggae Fest

Reggae Fest is dedicated to the protection of Cayuga Lake through a conscious celebration of Ithaca’s legendary reggae community and its history, and Discover Cayuga Lake has been one of our Water Connector partners since year 1! Providing hands-on learning opportunities in the interest of sustaining our Finger Lakes waterways for future generations, Discover Cayuga Lake provides Eco-Cruises on Cayuga Lake (May-October), Floating Classroom experiences for grades 5 and up, Trout in the Classroom school-based programs, and a variety of free or donation based cruises for local residents.

We are so honored to welcome the mighty The Skatalites Band making their debut appearance at Ithaca Reggae Fest on Sunday, June 28! Formed in 1964 in Kingston, Jamaica, there simply would not be reggae music as we know it without them! Serving as the original backing band for Bob Marley, T***s & the Maytals & Prince Buster among many others, their legacy helped establish rocksteady and cement Jamaican reggae music for generations to come.
