🌿✨ Today we remember Dr. Jane Goodall (1934–2025).

She wasn’t just a primatologist. She was a storyteller, an advocate, and a role model who proved that science has soul. 💚

At 26, she stepped into the forests of Gombe and showed the world that chimpanzees laugh, hug, fight, forgive — and that the line between humans and animals is thinner than we thought.

Her work inspired generations of women to see that we belong in science. To be curious. To be courageous. To believe our voices can change the world.

Thank you, Jane. Your legacy of hope lives on.

🌿💧 STEM is everywhere. It’s in the way water flows, the way leaves fall, and the balance that holds it all together. Sometimes it looks like equations on a whiteboard, and sometimes… it looks like peace. ✨

“The dress only blooms when someone takes your hand.” 🌸

Fashion meets robotics in a story of healing, hope, and bold innovation.
Meet Maia Hirsch—a designer fusing tech with emotion to create garments that feel.

From hand-stitched circuits to emotionally intelligent wearables, her work reminds us:

💬 “You’re allowed to be as feminine as you want—even in a male-dominated field. That doesn’t make you weaker. It’s a superpower.”

When Maia Hirsch started designing a robotic dress that blooms open only when someone takes your hand… it did sound a little wild. But that’s the power of bold creativity.

Earth Day Icons: Women in STEM Leading the Charge for Our Planet 04/22/2025

As a kid, I led my friends on nature walks, flipped over rocks to find bugs, and hunted for fossils in creek beds. That love for the planet led me to a degree in environmental science—and today, I’m using science storytelling to celebrate the women shaping our sustainable future. 🌿

This Earth Day, I’m spotlighting four incredible women in STEM who are protecting our planet in powerful, creative ways—including ocean advocate Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson, water protector Autumn Peltier, climate communicator Dr. Katharine Hayhoe, and soil scientist Dr. Jane Zelikova—plus a little feature from yours truly, Redhead STEMinist Nancy Coddington 💁‍♀️
