🌲✨ Did you know Issaquah was part of the region’s early coal mining era?
In the late 1800s and early 1900s, this area was closely connected to coal mining operations in the surrounding hills and nearby towns like Newcastle and the Coal Creek Valley. Rail lines running through the region helped transport coal to Seattle, playing a role in the area’s early growth and development.
Today, Issaquah is much better known for its trails, mountains, and outdoor recreation—but if you look closely, you’re still surrounded by landscapes shaped by that early history.
A reminder that even our favorite hiking spots have stories beneath them. 🏔️📜

Maharaja Indian Restaurant offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a menu full of classic Indian favorites like butter chicken, biryani, tandoori dishes, and freshly baked naan. The portions are generous, the flavors are rich and comforting, and there are plenty of vegetarian options as well 🌶️🥘.
Whether you’re planning a relaxed dinner out, grabbing takeout, or just craving something flavorful and satisfying, it’s a solid go-to in the area.

☀️🔥 Staying cool tip:
💧 Keep a chilled “spa water” pitcher in your fridge with cold water, sliced cucumber, lemon, and a few fresh mint leaves. Let it infuse for a couple of hours so the flavors really come through—it turns plain water into something crisp, light, and super refreshing.
For an extra cooling touch, serve it over ice or keep a few lemon slices frozen as ice cubes.
Simple, refreshing, and perfect for hot afternoons. 🍋❄️

🏡✨ Apartment Living Tip!
Keep your entryway clutter-free by creating a simple “drop zone” for keys, shoes, and mail. A small tray or basket by the door can instantly make your space feel more organized and less chaotic when you walk in.
It’s a tiny habit that makes coming home feel a lot more peaceful.
