In observance of Martin Luther King Day, there will be no collection service on Monday, January 19th. All service will be delayed by one day.

We’re collecting diapers in all sizes (especially sizes 4–6 and Pull-Ups 2T–3T, 3T–4T)

Food Drive (Issaquah Food Bank)
We’re collecting unopened, unexpired non-perishable food and essentials. Here’s what’s most needed:
Peanut Butter
Canned Chicken & Tuna
Other canned proteins: Spam, Salmon, Roast Beef, Sardines
Chili, Canned Pasta, Canned Stew, Hearty Soups (Progresso, Campbell’s Chunky, etc.)
Hamburger Helper / Pasta Roni / Rice a Roni
Cereal / Oatmeal
Pasta Sauce, Pasta, White Rice (2 lb bags only)
Gluten-free items (pasta, soup, snacks, etc.)
Ensure (Chocolate or Vanilla preferred)
Ramen, Canned Fruit & Vegetables
Protein Bars (Kind, Clif, etc.)
Individual Snacks for Kids
Pancake Mix (regular and gluten-free)
Cooking Oil (16–20 oz bottles only)
Coffee (ground preferred, not decaf)
Incontinence Supplies (men’s and women’s, all sizes)

Thanks to all volunteers for a great event today! It was a little soggy but we made it work between torrential downpours and it was a great turnout. We could not have pulled this off without all of your support! Shout out to Kyle and Graham for pulling together an awesome Haunted trail this morning during a monsoon and bringing their smoke machine, skeletons and epic new speakers! Special thanks to Michael and Amy for opening up the doors of their future business and giving us a warm place to enjoy cupcakes and cider.

Due to the incoming bad weather, the Talus Family Halloween event has been rescheduled to Sunday, October 26th from 12 to 3 p.m. The locations remain the same: the Red Alder Shelter and the L’Experience Patio.

News from City of Issaquah - Government

City crews are improving the intersection of NW Talus Drive and NW Shy Bear Way. Improvements include adjusting the intersection to an all way stop and updating signage to reflect that change. These improvements are being made to address pedestrian safety, concerns with vehicular speeds on NW Talus Drive, and limited visibility when approaching the intersection.

This work is currently set to take place on September 29-30, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m, subject to change. Crews will be onsite to complete the intersection improvements, barring any weather-related delays. Temporary lane closures may be necessary to complete the work, but resident access will be maintained through the construction window. Please use caution when driving through the intersection.
