Driveway Jazz Up How to transform—or take the focus off—a boring, straight driveway

Working on a rare pre-sale for a Street of Dreams event provided the opportunity to create a show garden with dramatic flair, while also responding to the needs and personality of the future owners. Working as a team with Gelotte Hommas Architects and builder Macpherson Construction & Design, we worked hard to pull key architectural features out into the garden to create vibrant, dynamic spaces. Echoing the stone columns and horizontal features of the house, the trellis and rain veil provide a dramatic backdrop to a carefully-cited reflection pool. The neighborhood's unsightly detention facility was transformed into a verdant pond planted and bordered by carefully crafted stone walls. An elevated chipping green with multiple tees provides outdoor activity while complimenting the home and site.
