💛Some moments feel especially close to your heart.
Once a lion, always a lion 🦁
As a former teacher at Lakeridge Elementary, I was deeply touched to see the Kyra Gupta Courageous Lion Award presented to a student whose courage, resilience, kindness, and perseverance reflect the beautiful legacy Kyra left behind.
While I wasn’t able to be there in person, it felt like a full-circle moment, bringing together the school I once called “home,” Kyra’s Hope Foundation, and the opportunity to contribute a FeelLinks Feelings Journal to the Hope Box 📦 for this year’s recipient, Kyrill. My hope is that it provides a safe space for reflection, emotional growth, and self-discovery as he continues his journey.
✨Kyra’s story continues to remind us that courage isn’t the absence of fear, it’s finding the strength to keep going, even when life is hard. Seeing her legacy live on through this award and through students like Kyrill is truly inspiring.
Congratulations, Kyrill, on this well-deserved honor.
Thank you to the and Lakeridge Elementary for continuing to celebrate and uplift children whose light shines brightly through adversity💛🦁

🌸HOPE EVEN WHEN IT’S HARD🌼
I am still sitting in the beauty of Kyra’s Day of Light - a celebration of life, love, and hope, even as families are facing some of the hardest times.
Music, art, games, food, conversation - connection. It was a powerful reminder that even in grief, the unknown, the heartbreak, sadness- ✨light✨ can be found in community, kindness, and shared moments.
Connection is one of the most beautiful gifts we can offer one another. It helps us carry joy, navigate challenges, and reminds us that we were never meant to do life alone.
Thank you to the families, volunteers, and supporters who continue to honor Kyra’s legacy by creating spaces where hope, healing, and love can grow.
✨Even when it’s hard, there is still light.

🤚🏻Play is learning
Play is so much more than fun and , it’s how children make sense of the world around them.
Through play, children practice problem-solving, build relationships, develop language, explore creativity, and learn to recognize and express emotions.
Every make-believe adventure, block tower, game, and conversation helps build the foundation for lifelong learning.
At FeelLinks, we believe play creates opportunities for meaningful emotional connection. When children engage in play, they are not only learning academic and social skills, they are discovering who they are, how they feel, and how to connect with others.
As Fred Rogers said, “Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.”
✨ Play builds confidence.
✨ Play strengthens emotional intelligence.
✨ Play fosters connection.
✨ Play helps children thrive.
What is your favorite way to bring play into learning?

🌈 June got you feeling ALL the things?
You are not alone.
For children (and grown-ups too), this season can bring a whirlwind 🌀of emotions:
🎓 Graduations
🎉 End-of-year celebrations
💔 Saying goodbye to teachers, classmates, & school staff
📦 Moving homes or changing schools
🎭 Performances and big milestones
☀️ Excitement for summer adventures
Sometimes joy, pride, sadness, worry, gratitude, and uncertainty all show up at the same time.
At FeelLinks, we believe every feeling deserves to be seen, named, and understood. When we help children recognize and talk about their emotions, we give them tools to navigate life’s transitions with confidence and connection.
So if June has your child feeling “all the things,” that’s okay. Big changes often come with big feelings.
💛What emotions are showing up most in your home or classroom right now?

I had the wonderful opportunity to present to the teachers and directors at the Mercer Island Preschool Association luncheon - the city where I grew up and taught for over 12 years- definitely a highlight from last week!
Social connection🫶, many awards🏅presented, and some professional development around the importance of emotional intelligence skill development for young children, with practical strategies and immediate takeaways that educators & directors can bring back to their schools and classrooms.
Thank you Ha, President for the lovely invitation and the gorgeous flowers 💐
I love partnering with schools to support the social-emotional development of children. If your school is looking for parent education workshops, staff development, or professional learning opportunities focused on social-emotional skills & creating emotionally supportive environments, I’d love to connect! 🕯️Today I light this candle in memory of Kyra on her heavenly 13th birthday. Holding her family especially close to my heart today🎗️
🎗️This holds deep meaning for me. Its name is “Hudson” — gifted to me years ago by a student when I was teaching kindergarten. One day, I noticed the name printed on the sticker affixed to the bottom: Hudson. A name that carries so much significance in our lives because it belongs to our joyful, adventurous, incredible friend who was taken by cancer nearly three years ago, just shy of his 13th birthday.
✨Tonight, I light this candle for Kyra, for Hudson, and for all of the sweet children we’ve lost to cancer. I promise to continue doing the work, sharing their stories, and fighting to honor their lives and memories✨
