Join us tonight in North Hall 1110 from 7-8 PM to learn about what Finance Connection has to offer! We will be discussing our investment banking, wealth management, and general finance workshops, what our general meetings consist of, and recruitment timelines for freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. This week UCSB Finance Connection will be hosting Taylor Jobe! He will be joining us in-person to talk about portfolio construction, asset allocation, and recruiting. Taylor is a managing partner at MKT Advisors, a financial services company that provides investment advisory and investment services for clients nationally. Finance Connection will be kicking off our IBW Freshman Start Program with a meeting this Wednesday (2/25) at 7PM in North Hall 1110! Freshman Start is an introductory program, aimed to help freshmen students learn the basics of Investment Banking and explore to see if it’s the right career path for them. You will have the opportunity to gain guidance from upperclassmen mentors and prepare to ace your Sophomore IBW application. This Wednesday (2/18) at 7PM in North Hall 1110, FC is excited to host guest speaker Tim Coleman in person. Tim is one of our most notable Finance alumni and previously worked as a Senior Managing Director at Blackstone before becoming a Partner at PJT Partners. We will be doing a moderated Q&A followed by audience questions. We strongly encourage everyone interested in finance to attend this event.

Tonight we will be welcoming Christopher Lococo in NH 1110 ! He will be covering his background and firm background, the core participants for financial advising, how to become a financial advisor, and a day in the life. Join us tonight to hear about his experience as a financial advisor and please come prepared with questions!

This Wednesday (1/28) we are excited to be hosting UCSB Alum Vikram Abraham, cofounder and managing partner at Cuadrilla Capital. Join us in North Hall 1110 at 7PM to learn more about his career. Please come dressed in business casual and prepared with questions!

This Wednesday (1/21) we will be hosting Montana Youssoffi to learn about his career in private equity, investment banking, and founding a strategic M&A startup. Montana is also a Gaucho alum! Join us in North Hall 1110 to hear more about his experience and advice for young finance professionals!

Join us this Wednesday as we host our first resume workshop of the quarter! We will focus on resume formatting, best practices, common standards and provide individualized feedback. Please bring a printed copy of your resume in M&I format for revisions!

Happy Week 8! This Wednesday (11/19) we’re excited to announce that we’re hosting Guest Speaker Joseph Alalou at 7 PM in North Hall 1010!

He is the cofounder of Daring Ventures, previously worked at Lazard as an investment banking analyst, and also founded WACC (Wall Street After Community College). We look forward to seeing you all there and remember to bring your questions!
