Fingers crossed for Cookies! 🤞🐱 We're excited to share that Cookies has headed out on a foster-to-adopt trial with a potential adopter 💖

Foster-to-adopt gives both pets and adopters the opportunity to make sure it's the right fit before making things official. It allows pets to settle into a home environment, helps adopters get to know their new companion, and can make the transition less stressful for everyone involved.

We're hopeful that Cookies has found his perfect match and can't wait to hear how things are going. Send this sweet boy some good luck as he begins this exciting new chapter!

Remember little Koda? Well, he's not so little anymore! 💙 This handsome pup has grown into such a big boy and is absolutely thriving in his forever home. He's incredibly loved and gets ALL the park time his heart could desire.

Seeing updates like this reminds us why we do what we do. Thank you to Koda's dad for giving him such a wonderful life-- we couldn't be happier for this lucky pup!

What is Feline Right at Home? 🐱💛 Feline Right at Home is a specialized program spearheaded by the amazing Molly DeVoss designed to help shy, fearful, and undersocialized cats build confidence and learn to trust people. Through positive interactions, enrichment, and patient handling, these cats work at their own pace to become more comfortable in both a shelter and home environment.

The goal is simple: help cats overcome their fears so they can find loving forever homes. Watching our graduates blossom from scared newcomers into confident companions is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do!

🚧🐾 Construction is officially underway on our dog runs!

While we're excited for these improvements, it does mean our pups have fewer opportunities to stretch their legs on-site during the day. Thankfully, we have access to the Irving dog park for part of the day (thanks Irving Parks and Recreation !! ) but we'd love some extra help from volunteers to make sure our dogs continue getting plenty of exercise and one-on-one attention during this transition.

If you have some free time and would like to help walk dogs, now is a wonderful time to get involved. A few extra sets of hands can make a huge difference for the pets in our care!

🎉 Home at last! 🎉We're thrilled to share that Frankie, one of our Feline Right at Home graduates, has found her forever family! This sweet girl put in the work, gained confidence, and showed everyone just how wonderful she is. Now she's off to enjoy the life every cat deserves. A special thank you to her adopter for giving her the happy ending she's been waiting for 💖🏠🐾
