From this... to this. 🤍 Transformations like this never get old.

This patient came to us wanting a straighter, more confident smile, but didn't want the hassle (or the look) of traditional braces along the way. With clear aligners, we got them there discreetly, comfortably, and on their own timeline.

No metal, no awkward in-between photos, just steady progress leading up to a reveal worth celebrating. 🦷✨

Here's something most people don't know about open bites: closing them isn't usually the hard part for an orthodontist.

The real challenge is keeping the bite closed once treatment wraps up. If the underlying habits and muscle patterns that caused the open bite aren't addressed, it can slowly start to reopen over time.
That's why we often work hand in hand with myofunctional therapists. They help retrain the tongue and muscle patterns that keep a bite stable long term, and ideally, that therapy starts even before orthodontic treatment begins.

It's a team effort, and it's what makes the results actually last.

Your bite is connected to a lot more than just your smile, it plays a role in jaw health and posture too.
We had an adult patient come in with what looked like a textbook perfect bite. But she was unknowingly shifting her jaw forward every night while she slept. Over time, that repetitive movement caused noticeable wear on the front surfaces of her lower teeth.

It's a good reminder that a "perfect" bite on paper doesn't always tell the whole story. What's happening while you sleep matters just as much.

Noticing unusual wear on your teeth or waking up with jaw tension? It might be worth a closer look.

Wondering if you need braces or aligners? Book a consultation.

Not sure if your insurance covers treatment? Book a consultation.

Think you might be "too old" for braces? (You're not.) Book a consultation.

Notice a pattern? Almost every orthodontic question starts the same way.

A consultation gives you real answers based on your smile, your coverage, and your goals, instead of guessing from what you've read online or heard from a friend.

No pressure, no obligation, just clarity on your options.

Do wisdom teeth really make your teeth crooked? 👀

Not exactly.

One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is:

> "My wisdom teeth ruined my smile."

The truth is, teeth can shift and become crowded even in people who don't have wisdom teeth.

So while wisdom teeth can sometimes contribute to problems, they're not always the villain they're made out to be.

Wisdom teeth are typically recommended for removal when they're causing harm, creating issues for neighboring teeth, or simply not serving a purpose.

Every smile is different.

That's why the real question isn't, "Do I have wisdom teeth?"

It's, "How healthy is my bite?" 🦷✨

Think you're too old for braces? 👀

One of our patients started orthodontic treatment at 82 years old 😮‍🔥

Not because someone told her she had to.

Not because of pain.

Not because of her bite.

She simply wanted to smile in photos with her grandkids.

She noticed that every time a picture was taken, she kept her smile hidden and decided she didn't want to be remembered as the grumpy grandparent in family photos ❤️

That's the thing about orthodontics.

It's never just about teeth.

Sometimes it's about confidence.
Sometimes it's about memories.
Sometimes it's about finally doing something for yourself.

And no matter your age, it's never too late to love your smile.

Straight teeth don't always mean a healthy bite. 👀

One of the biggest myths in orthodontics is:

> "My teeth look straight, so I must be fine."

But the truth is, even straight teeth can experience:
🦷 Enamel wear
🦷 Fracture lines
🦷 Erosion
🦷 Excessive forces from an unhealthy bite

Because oral health isn't just about how your teeth look.

It's about how your upper and lower jaws work together.

A beautiful smile matters. But so does function.

After all, the goal isn't just straight teeth. It's a smile that's healthy, balanced, and built to last. ✨

"Wait... you're telling me that gap is a GOOD thing?" 👀

When it comes to adult expansion treatments like MARPE or MSE, seeing a small gap develop between the front teeth is often a sign that the palate is opening exactly as intended 😮‍💨✨

The goal isn't to create a gap.

The goal is to create the space your smile may have needed all along.

🦷 More room for crowded teeth
🦷 A better relationship between the upper and lower jaws
🦷 An alternative to extractions for certain patients
🦷 Potential airway and health benefits

And thanks to modern advancements, expansion can be more refined than ever, with smaller gaps and the ability to move teeth while expansion is still happening.

If you've been told that extractions are your only option, it may be worth exploring whether adult expansion could be part of the conversation.
