Today, we honor Juneteenth, marking the historic day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. This day stands as a testament to the strength, perseverance, and enduring contributions of the African American community. It also invites us to reflect on our shared history and recommit ourselves to building a future rooted in equity, opportunity, and justice for all.

What a sweet time we had at our Watermelon Social! Our community came together for an afternoon full of laughter, music, and of course lots of delicious watermelon!

Residents enjoyed live music while sipping on refreshing watermelon punch and cocktails, making it the perfect summer celebration. The highlight of the day was definitely our watermelon eating contest so many smiles, cheers, and a little friendly competition! 🍉😄
There’s nothing better than seeing everyone come together to enjoy the sunshine, great company, and simple summertime fun. ❤️
