Every day in October PD had been participating in Inktober 2025. We were given a daily word prompt and were supposed to create an original inked illustration from it. The characters and this comic strip were created for the IHOP Kids Xtra! menu magazine back in 2000. Though IHOP decided not to proceed with the magazine, these characters lived on, as we continued to use them on IHOP's placemats that we worked on until 2008.

A few weeks back PD finished initial work on the Hurripannel Fasteners website ( www.hurripanelfasteners.com ). What really made our day was the email response we got from our client:

I just wanted to let you know I received my first order from my new website!!!!!!!

I am pretty excited!!!!

I know it is still a work in progress, but you guys did an awesome job!

If you visit your local Braum's this month you'll find one of our favorite Kids Meal toys! PD designed the Hello World toys (based on the beautifully illustrated preschool books by Jill McDonald). Though we are happy with all of the toys in the series, we admit to having a special favorite in repurposing the old "Chinese yo-yo" and making it into a chameleon's tongue.
