CEC Facilities had the opportunity to connect with students at the Texas A&M College of Architecture Construction Science Career Fair on September 17.

Our team enjoyed meeting students, learning more about their career goals, and sharing what a future with CEC can look like across construction, electrical, infrastructure, and business.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by Booth 239, spoke with our team, and participated in interviews throughout the afternoon. We appreciate the opportunity to meet so many talented students and introduce them to the work happening across CEC.

CEC is heading to Data Center World Power 2026 in Dallas, September 21–23.

Dean Morgan, MBA, Travis Rowe, and Becca Sloan will be representing CEC at an event focused on one of the biggest challenges facing the data center industry today: delivering the power and infrastructure needed to keep pace with rapid digital growth. CEC is proud to highlight the recently completed Paychex project in Irving, Texas.

Located on the third floor and spanning 98,358 square feet, the space had been previously occupied and required a complete demolition before new construction could begin. CEC’s scope included the installation of power, lighting, AV, structured cabling and Logison sound masking systems.

A standout feature of the project was the installation of Acoufelt Skipping Stones lighting, a unique system that brought a distinctive architectural element to the finished space. Our team also installed an extensive combination of illuminated and non illuminated baffles, along with a complete unlit ceiling system.

From demolition through final installation and commissioning, this project reflects the coordination, craftsmanship and attention to detail our teams bring to complex corporate environments.

We love seeing our CEC teams take the initiative to get together, have some fun, and bring that competitive spirit off the jobsite and onto the court.

What better way to close out a summer of learning than with a little friendly competition?

Our CEC Electrical Interns wrapped up their summer at the CEC Career & Technical Center with an End-of-Summer Competition and Celebration that put their skills to the test.

Teams competed in wiring, conduit bending, Electrical Jeopardy, a mystery challenge, and lightning presentations, showcasing their technical knowledge, teamwork, problem-solving, and confidence.

CEC University is proud to create hands-on opportunities that help the next generation of electrical professionals learn, grow, and prepare for what comes next.

Congratulations to all of our Electrical Interns on an incredible summer. The future of the industry is looking bright.
