DFW Practice Crits

Course is looking good, construction wrapping up soon!

Good news and bad news. The good news is the only bad patch of pavement is getting resurfaced! The bad news is, it’s a multi week project. Stay tuned, we’ll be out here riding soon!

Tomorrow is the first edition of the DFW Practice Crit! RSVP with the poll in the comments section so we how many people are attending!

This is an unsanctioned event on open roads. There is no medical or SAG support provided to riders. Obey all traffic laws and ride at your own risk! Think of this as a fast group ride and not an official race.

🗓️: Thursday, May 22nd
🚲: 6:00 PM - C Race (30min)
🚲: 6:30 PM - B Race (30 min)
🚲: 7:05 PM - A Race (45 min)
🎟️: Free
⚠️: Open Roads - Obey All Traffic Laws
📍: Start/Finish Line @ 2475 Esters Blvd, Grapevine, TX 76051
🔁: 1 Lap = 1.63 Miles (clockwise)
🚗: Park at Founder’s Plaza (1700 N Airfield Dr, Grapevine, TX 76051). All parking around the course is private warehouse lots so we don’t advise parking there. Preferably you’ll ride to the course instead of driving!
🚩: In an abundance of caution, it would be nice to have 1 flagger for the first turn. If you’d like to volunteer, please comment below!
🏁: Start/Finish will be marked with red chalk. Remember, this is an unsanctioned race so there is no official timing.

This is the best course in my opinion. 1 lap is 1.62 miles, so it’s a long crit course! This is a practice race held on open roads. This is not a formally organized event, ride at your own risk!

The roads this practice crit are hosted on run through a warehouse district. There is very little vehicle traffic after 5PM and the streets are well lit. This is an unsanctioned event, not a formally organized race. Ride at your own risk!

There will be 3 different courses that we can cycle through (no pun intended) so it’s not the same course every time. For safety so we’re not crossing over lanes, all courses will be ran clockwise.
