We had the opportunity to celebrate Mother's Day with the seniors of Willie B Johnson Recreation Center and the choir from Hamilton Park Elementary. Food music and games, always a great time

On Thursday evening, we passed out pizza, soft drinks, and treats to our unhoused neighbors in downtown Dallas. The gratitude was real, the conversations were warm, and the kindness was mutual.

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect — a soft breeze, a beautiful sunset, a calm spring night.

But then the reality hit: while the volunteers would head back to their homes, many of the people we served would be spending yet another night on the streets, with everything they own gathered at their feet.

Take a moment to appreciate what you have, in whatever season you’re in. There are people who would give anything to be in your place.
