The CA state May Budget Revision’s proposed reduction of PACE funding threatens the stability of a proven model that reduces hospitalizations, prevents unnecessary nursing home placement, and helps older adults remain safely at home.

Existing funding is already far from enough to meet the need. About 90% of older adults in California who qualify for PACE programs—around 240,000 seniors—are not being served.
