The photographs in Carol Eisenberg’s new series “Mangroves in Lamine” were captured in Jubail Mangrove Park in Abu Dhabi. In the studio she embedded imagery of pearls, blossoms, and jewel-like forms into the photographs creating collaged layers.

Middle East Exposures by Hengki Koentjoro. Located in the Old City of Jerusalem, the Wailing Wall has profound historical and religious significance. Especially during the High Holidays (Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur) and throughout the year, the Western Wall is visited by Jews from across the world as it serves as a place of both mourning and hope.

Hang On!

This polar bear used to be at the top of the Arctic food chain, but now even she has a predator - climate change. She is a mother and a fighter, wrapping her furry arms around her precious cubs, and hanging onto her beloved homeland as it slowly melts away. She is adapting and she won’t give in, even if her world changes so fast. Maybe we can adapt too? Plant a tree, cycle to work, donate to charity. It’s just an ice way to help!

Howlita

While most people bring skis to the Alps, I brought a pair of frilly underwear.
Not by accident, though.

I made a wolf from laundry, an homage to an animal once erased from this landscape, now finding its way back.

It was a perfect day. Crisp air. Bright sun.

Then I saw it: not the wolf, but its shadow - sharp against untouched snow.

And for a brief moment, the wolf stood still in the sun, its shadow stretching across the slope, as if calmly reclaiming its territory.

Peace

The idea for this poignant artwork emerged in the wake of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia in 2022. As someone bearing both Russian and Ukrainian roots, I felt the profound turmoil within as the war unfolded in Eastern Europe.

This photograph serves as a fervent plea for peace — not only between nations but also between individuals and different parts of our own personalities that fight brutal battles in our heads and souls.

Baa-Baa-Ra

It’s never easy to be the odd one out, but Baa-Baa-Ra is well-suited for the job. There is so much warmth in her heart that she is happy to give a fuzzy cuddle to anyone who feels like a black shee

With September comes ‘Back to School’ which always reminds me of this image by George Tice: One Room Schoolhouse,
Lancaster, Pennsylvania

On June 18, 1976 the gallery opened to the public with a landmark exhibition of photographs by George Tice.
