Today, we're excited to introduce Abigael Wanyonyi, our dedicated Terry's Kids Director in Kenya.

Abigael's journey with He Intends Victory began in 2019 after her mother, a member of one of our support groups, encouraged her to get involved. What started as an opportunity to volunteer soon became a calling, and she is now a valued member of our team.

"He Intends Victory has helped me take care of my elderly mum and my two children. My life has changed since then."

Every day, Abigael serves children and families affected by HIV with compassion and dedication. Her experience caring for HIV orphans and supporting people living with HIV has deepened her commitment to listening to every child, showing them love, and ensuring they feel seen and valued.

We are incredibly grateful for Abigael's heart for service and the difference she makes in the lives of so many children and families.

But Jose’s journey has not been easy. He lost his father to HIV/AIDS, and his mother left after learning she was HIV-positive. Today, Jose and his sibling depend on their elderly grandmother, who struggles to provide for them.

Jose wants to stay in school, but without support for education and food, his dream is becoming harder to reach.

🛡️ PrEP or PEP?

Know the Difference. Protect Yourself.

PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is for people who are HIV-negative and want to prevent HIV before they may be exposed. When taken as prescribed, PrEP is highly effective at preventing HIV. PrEP is wonderful for husband and wife where one person has HIV and the other is HIV negative (discordant couples).

PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) is an emergency medication taken after possible exposure to HIV. It must be started within 72 hours and taken for 28 days.

When the Rain Comes, John Has Nowhere to Stay Dry

Six-year-old John was deserted by both of his parents and now lives with his 72-year-old grandmother in Kenya. She does her best to care for him, but has very little ability to support them.

Their small home is in desperate condition. The roof is filled with holes, and they’ve tried covering them with plastic bags. When the heavy rains come, water leaks throughout the house, soaking the few clothes and belongings they have. Some days they eat only one meal. Other days, they have nothing at all.

For just $200, we can give John and his grandmother a new roof and a safe, dry place to live. ❤️
