When I inspect a used car, I don’t stop at checking whether the warning lights are off. I use the Innova 5610 to scan the vehicle and check its emissions readiness monitors too.

If several monitors aren’t ready, that can happen after codes were recently cleared or the vehicle lost battery power. It doesn’t automatically mean there’s a problem, but it gives me a reason to ask questions and investigate further before making a decision.
