This past weekend, we were honored to attend the Kaiser Permanente Annual Summer Carnival in Anaheim, where children and families impacted by pediatric cancer came together for an afternoon filled with connection, carnival treats, thrilling rides, fun games, and lasting memories. โœจ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ๐ŸŽก

The event also featured remarks from Dr. Qureshi, who highlighted the resilience of the children and families they care for, along with the challenges of a pediatric cancer journey.๐ŸŽ—๏ธ

We truly enjoyed meeting and getting to know families, as well as reconnecting with familiar faces throughout the day. ๐Ÿ’› It was a heartfelt reminder of the strength within the pediatric cancer community and how deeply meaningful it is to foster joy and connection for all families impacted by pediatric cancer.

During National Cancer Survivors Month, weโ€™re reminded that survivorship extends beyond remission and encompasses the emotional and mental health challenges that many children and families continue to face. ๐ŸŽ—๏ธ

For many childhood cancer patients and survivors, scanxiety brings fear and uncertainty with every scan and follow-up test.

It is a day where families can step away from the challenges of a pediatric cancer diagnosis, embrace moments of joy, strengthen connections, and create meaningful memories together.

We are incredibly grateful to all the families, sponsors, and partners who came together to make this year's Power of Play an unforgettable day! โœจ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

From the excitement on every ride to the smiles shared throughout the day, these moments are a powerful reminder of the memories and connections that make our community so extraordinary.

Meet Miller Jones!โœจ

Just one week before his lacrosse season began, Miller flipped his go-kart, breaking his elbow and tearing his UCL. However, Miller refused to let that stand in his way.

Alongside his dad, he collected scrap metal, bottles, and cans to keep supporting the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation through the LaCROSSe Out Cancer challenge. ๐ŸŽ—๏ธ๐Ÿ’› All while completing 41 reps in honor of the 41 children diagnosed with cancer every day.

As he wraps up his lacrosse season, Miller and his family are hosting a raffle at his final game, donating every dollar raised to his LaCROSSe Out Cancer fundraising page.

Through every challenge, Miller has remained focused on making a difference.๐Ÿฅ

Every day, 41 children in the United States are diagnosed with cancer. ๐Ÿ’›

In a single moment, life changes for children and families who are suddenly faced with treatments, hospital stays, uncertainty, and battles no child should ever have to fight.
This is why our mission matters.

Until no family has to hear those words again, we will continue to fight for better, safer treatments and brighter futures for all children. ๐ŸŽ—๏ธ

A cancer diagnosis may become part of a childโ€™s story, but it should never define their future.๐Ÿ’›

This National Cancer Survivors Month, weโ€™re celebrating the children who continue to dream, grow, laugh, learn, and live boldly beyond their diagnosis. Survivorship is not just about overcoming treatment โ€” itโ€™s about giving every child the chance to experience all the moments that childhood should hold.

Every step forward in pediatric cancer research helps make more of those moments possible.

Did you know every $50 donated to the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation funds an hour of research?๐ŸŽ—๏ธ

These hours power breakthroughs like the research of Dr. Mancuso, PhD, focused on pediatric acute megakaryoblastic leukemia (AMKL) โ€” a subtype of leukemia in which megakaryocytes, the cells responsible for blood clotting, become cancerous. Her work is helping advance more effective treatments and improve outcomes for children impacted by pediatric cancer. ๐Ÿ’›
