Celebrating our Team Member's Stories: Earlier this month marked the 50th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon. On April 30th, 1975 the Vietnam War ended when North Vietnamese forces captured the capital city and installed communist rule over the entire country. Shortly after this the United States government approved the Indochina Migration and Refugee Assistance Act allowing refugees evacuated during the fall the ability to relocate and resettle in the United States. One of the largest of these processing centers was Fort Chaffee in Arkansas, which alone processed over 50,000 refugees in the first 7 months of this bill being enacted. Among those who passed through its barracks was our own Service Manager Doug Pham, who was 9 years old when his family relocated. We have been fortunate to have Doug as a major component of our team for 40 years now and we are glad to share a part of his journey. You can hear him as part of the interview below where he, and others, share the impact this event had on them and other Americans like them.
