So fortunate to be invited to attend “the future of healthcare” conference at UCI today with 5 of my community health senior nursing students. Katie Kalvoda and her team at Advance OC are leading the way on making our communities healthier.

Cui community health nursing students were at Mount of Olives church today giving flu shots and doing blood pressure screenings. We love partnering with Tom Cross and Gaye Satterfield for these wonderful events.

CUI community nursing hosted a blood pressure screening booth at “hip hop splash” CHOC 5k. What a great event and my students even wore mascot costumes!

Kindness rocks event is underway at Concordia University spectrum campus! Day 1 is in the books but you can still join us tonight 6-7:30 or Friday 3:30-5:30. Free event!

Cui community nursing is offering a FREE event. Rock painting at our new spectrum campus. Take an hour to enjoy some stress relief of painting rocks, refreshments, and enjoying life!

EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT: We are planning our next mission trip.. we will be heading to Coast Rica to partner with Mission Activation, approx dates 2/28-3/5. Details are still being finalized. Estimated cost will be $1,700 which includes airfare, lodging, food, spirit wear 😀, excursion day, cost will also include medication and supplies costs that we will be taking for the trip. I will be taking approx. 12 people, open to all Applicants including alumni, RN’s that speak Spanish, current students, etc. please let me know if your interested and I will be sending out information next week. We are so excited! Mission Activation here we come..
