Downsizing your piercing jewelry is one of the most important parts of the healing process. ✨

When a piercing is first done, longer jewelry is used to allow room for swelling. Once that swelling goes down, wearing jewelry that is too long, for extended periods of time can actually cause irritation, snagging, excess movement, bumps, prolonged healing, and even crooked angles over time.
Downsizing helps your piercing sit more securely and comfortably, reducing trauma and allowing the tissue to heal properly.

✨Each piercing has a different time period for downsizing which your piercer will go over with you at the time of your service!
