Sarah Pearson, senior counsel at Creative Commons, will be speaking tomorrow about Creative Commons, how she came to work for CC, and how open source can add another layer to the practice of IP law. So, take a break from studying and join IPLS for our final presentation of the semester. As always, lunch will be provided!

Join us Friday November 15th for a presentation by Iowa Law Alum Stephen Baird! He will be discussing the Supreme Court's recent trademark decisions and the attempts to invalidate the Redskins marks. Lunch will be provided.

's Symposium on “Administering Patent Law” is this Friday (10/5). The symposium focuses on the intersection of patent and administrative law, a juncture that has become particularly important in recent years and is poised to become even more so with the Supreme Court’s continuing interest in both patent and administrative law. Congratulations to Brianna Chamberlin and Tyler Latcham for making it to nationals in the Giles S. Rich Moot Court Competition! They argue again tomorrow at John Marshall Law School in Chicago to determine if they are seeded 1st or 2nd in the Midwest. If you are interested in applying for any of next year's IP moot court competitions, keep an eye out for an application in your course selection packets! Hope you all had a fun spring break!

**LOYOLA PATENT LAW INTERVIEW PROGRAM INFORMATION**

Hi Everyone -

IPLS will be hosting an Informational Session on the Loyola Patent Law Interview Program this Friday, February 3rd from 12:40-1:30 PM in Room 245. This presentation will give an overview of registration and the interview process. It will end with a brief resume workshop, focusing on how to tailor your resume for the PLIP program. Pizza will be provided.
