🏗️ Welcome to Weimer’s Watch Us Work Wednesday! 🏗️

Even though the weather hasn’t exactly been on our side this week, our crew is still out there getting the job done.

From repairing stucco to fabricating custom trim pieces in the shop, our team has been hard at work. Our garage addition project is nearly complete, and we're moving into the final phases of a home remodel. Meanwhile, our new build in West Branch is progressing nicely.

Now if Mother Nature would just cooperate a little more, we'd really be rolling! 🌦️

As always, we appreciate our hardworking team and the trust our customers place in us. Stay tuned for more progress updates next Wednesday!

✈️ Takeoff Tuesday: Homeowner Construction Tip

Ready to kick your week into gear?
Here’s a smart homeowner move that pays off long after construction is done:

📸 Before your contractor closes up the walls, take photos of EVERYTHING.

Plumbing lines, electrical runs, HVAC, blocking, studs — capture it all.
Then save it in a phone album labeled “Behind the Walls – Home Reno.”

Why it matters:
• Makes future repairs faster and cheaper
• Helps you avoid drilling into wires or pipes
• Saves time when planning upgrades
• Gives you a permanent record of what’s hidden in your home

A few minutes of photos today = hours saved down the road.
That’s how you take off into a smoother project.

Successful weeks don't happen by accident—they start with a plan.

Before the pace of the week takes over, take a moment to set clear priorities, define your goals, and focus on what matters most. Strategic planning helps teams stay aligned, make better decisions, and achieve stronger results.

What's your top priority for the week ahead?

🏡 Stucco Maintenance 101: Keep Your Exterior Looking Its Best
Stucco is one of the toughest, longest lasting exterior finishes you can put on a home — but like anything exposed to Midwest weather, it needs a little routine care to stay strong and look great.
Here’s what every homeowner should know:
🔍 1. Do a yearly inspection
Walk around your home once a year and look for: • Small cracks • Chips or flaking • Dark or damp spots • Areas where stucco meets windows, doors, or trim Catching issues early prevents bigger repairs down the road.
🧼 2. Give it a gentle wash
Dust, pollen, and grime build up over time. A light rinse with a garden hose or a soft bristle brush keeps stucco clean. Avoid high pressure washing — it can damage the surface.
🛠 3. Repair cracks right away
Even tiny cracks let moisture in. Quick patching keeps water out and preserves the integrity of the wall. Small fixes now save big headaches later.
🧴 4. Keep it sealed
Stucco should be sealed every 5–7 years depending on exposure. A good seal helps prevent moisture intrusion and keeps the color looking fresh.
🎨 5. Refresh the finish when needed
If your stucco is fading or looking tired, a new coat of color or texture can bring it back to life. It’s one of the easiest ways to boost curb appeal.
🌧 Built for Iowa weather — with the right care
Stucco handles heat, cold, wind, and storms incredibly well, but maintenance is key to making it last for decades.

If you notice cracks, discoloration, or areas that don’t look quite right, our team is always here to help. A quick check up today can prevent major repairs tomorrow.
