🎓 Our newest Distinguished Toastmasters recognized during the always-inspiring Hall of Fame Ceremony
A special thank you to keynote speaker Jessee Oakley, DTM, PID, for traveling from Las Vegas and delivering a powerful message that left a lasting impression. And yes... the strawberry bouquet farewell was legendary. 🍓💐
From inspiring speeches and heartfelt recognition to laughter, fellowship, networking, and unexpected line dancing during the breaks, this conference reminded us why Toastmasters continues to impact lives both on and off the stage.
It was more than a conference.
It was a celebration.
A farewell.
A family reunion.
And definitely a DAY. ❤️
Thank you, District 1, for the memories, mentorship, leadership, and legacy.
Here’s to the exciting future ahead in District 201!

This Mother’s Day season, we’re celebrating the women whose love, wisdom, encouragement, and strength shape our lives in ways both big and small. 💐
Not every motherly act comes from a mother alone. Sometimes it’s a grandmother who prayed for you, an aunt who checked in, a cousin who protected you, a mentor who guided you, or a friend who simply showed up when you needed it most.
Join us this Saturday, May 9th, as we gather for another inspiring morning of communication, leadership, connection, and heartfelt conversation at First Class Communicators Toastmasters.

MID-WEEK MOTIVATION | TIP OF THE WEEK
What Do You Give a Speech About? 🤔
If you’ve ever frozen up thinking,
"I don’t know what to talk about…"
You’re overthinking it.
Inspired by DTM Benita Jackson’s powerful impromptu speech this past Saturday, here’s the truth:
👉 You already have more speech topics than you think.
The secret?
Start with what you know, love, or have lived.
💡 QUICK TIPS TO BUILD A SPEECH ON THE SPOT:
1. Start with your interests
What do you enjoy? Travel? Cooking? Budgeting? Dating stories? (Don’t act like you don’t have material.)
2. Pick ONE idea
Not your whole life story. Just one moment, lesson, or opinion.
3. Add a simple structure
Beginning: What’s the topic?
Middle: What happened or what do you know?
End: What’s the takeaway?
4. Share a personal angle
People connect with YOU, not perfection.
5. Don’t overthink it
Impromptu speaking builds confidence, clarity, and character over time.
You’d be surprised how many speeches you can create from just ONE hobby or life experience.
So next time you’re called on… take the mic.
You’re more ready than you think.

No First Class Communicators meeting this Saturday, 2/8/26!
This weekend, we’re showing love to the bigger Toastmasters stage.
Our regular meeting is paused as we support the Area F2 & F3 International and Evaluation Speech Contest.
In case you didn't know, Toastmasters contests happen twice a year, and they’re one of the best ways to:
• See high-level speeches
• Learn what winning evaluations sound like
• Support fellow members and future champions
We strongly encourage members and guests to attend, cheer loudly, and soak it all in.
First Class Communicators resumes Saturday, February 14.
If you’d like to volunteer for a meeting role when we return, please reach out to Anthony Penn .
Come for the speeches. Stay for the inspiration.
Leave motivated!
