Well Water To Canal Water Conversion:

Lifting canal water with a submersible pump = much less expensive than cutting into canal lining!

WHY? Able to preserve & leave 65 year old cement canal lining untouched and no disruption in service!

Well design, technical specifications, bid procurement, contract negotiation, permit assistance, construction supervision and inspection by OES. Reservoir in foreground holds 6 acre feet of water. The reservoir, booster pump and filter station was designed by OES in 1992.

Valley Voice: Give folks facts on groundwater preservation I strongly support CVWD and DWA for their outstanding stewardship of the aquifer for the past 60 years. Lawsuits can be very expensive, especially water law litigation. As Samuel Clemens was purported to have said, 'Whiskey is for drinking, water is for fighting over.'

Ben Olson, Jr., Design Engineer and Randy Downing, Pipeline Contractor (right to left) in the hole to discuss a very tight fit and precise alignment required for installation of a 34” O.D. FPVC pipe inside an existing, 60 year old 36” RCP pipe. Over 450 feet of 32” Fusion welded PVC pipe (no bells or joints) was assembled on the ground then pulled in to the existing 36” I.D. RCP pipe. The assembly process required 2 days and the pulling process required less than 2 hours. The 36” RCP was over 7 feet lower than the invert of the 32” FPVC. This technique is becoming more popular and economical for replacing existing aging pipe.
