Last week we were able to collaborate with one of my great long-time friends, Stefanie, in order to rebrand her logo for her photography business - Daydreams & Dandelions.

We had a blast and landed in a win-win with our whimsical new logo!

In a nutshell
“The art of getting eyeballs on your website”

The big reward with ranking for a certain relative keyword is that you can get “free” traffic to your site month after month unlike ads where once you’re done paying, you lose your spot on that coveted 1st page of Google

How do search engines like Google, Bing, or Yahoo work might you ask?

When you search on Google there's a fancy thing called an algorithm which is a program that searches google for the “best” results regarding your search.

Whatever keywords or phrases you typed into that search bar. An algorithm searched high and low for the best and most relevant pages to help you get your answer.

Now, how do these algorithms rank the billions of pages on the interwebs and decide what’s relevant?

So there are supposedly a few factors (Only based on patents and google statements)

1. Relevancy
This means that those pages are closely related to your keywords.

2. Authority
This means is this content accurate and is it trustworthy?

3. Usefulness
This just means Is this page organized and readable?

Usefulness is also measured by “User Experience Signals” aka How we users interact with the search results

The more traffic you drive your website or marketing campaigns the more chances you have to land new customers and clients

And there we have it, I hope we didn’t overwhelm you and kept it simple enough to where you’re still interested in taking your research farther.

Linkedin finally brought us something, thank the internet heavens

And it’s a marketing director from LA

So here’s what that looked like:

1. Identified my ideal client
- Large company
- Network Marketing Industry
- Marketing director or CMO of company

2. Made a list of top 100 MLM companies
- Added the marketing director or CMO of company on LinkedIn (1 out of every 5 had one)

3. SENT SIMPLE MESSAGE WITH PORTFOLIO
- Not one hello or response
- Low key depressing but pressed on

4. 25 messages sent, 1 reply
- They loved the portfolio
- Had a job they needed done
- Proposal sent

Moral of the story,
Be consistent with being consistent, Ignore that little nagging voice in your head and just trust the process

The deal isn’t done yet
But we’re farther than we were yesterday and that works
