Hi, it’s been awhile.
The last couple of years have changed me in ways I’m still learning how to put into words.

I’ve been trying to find my footing again. Figuring out who I am now, what I want to say, and what music even means to me after everything life has handed me and my family.

Losing our daughter Navy changed me in ways I can’t fully explain. I’m not the same person I was before… and honestly, I’m not trying to be. I’m learning to live, create, and feel as the version of me that exists now while still raising children.

And music… it’s still there. It always has been. Just quieter for a while.

But I’m starting to write again. Slowly. Honestly. Differently.

I don’t know exactly what this next chapter looks like yet, but I do know I want to be back on stage. I want to feel that connection again, with you.

If you’re still here, thank you. Truly.

And I’d love to know… where would you want to see me play when I come back?

I’ve had a lot of people ask me lately if I’m still going to make and perform music again and I wanted to answer that here.

Yes, music is still part of me. That has never changed.
But my life has changed. My heart has changed. And music looks different now than it did before.

After losing Navy, I’ve sat with myself for a long time this past year, processing grief and figuring out what kind of artist I even am now and where I want to go next.

I know I’ll be back on stage again, sooner than later.
But when I do, I want to be ready to pour out something real. I want to give it my all from a heart that’s been broken wide open and is still choosing to show up.

Right now my priority is my family as I continue to find my footing and direction.

And in the meantime, I hope you’ll go check out Dakota Ray Parker’s new song dropping this Friday that I was so happy to be featured on. 🤍

Music will always be part of my story.
It’s just going to come from a deeper place than ever before.

“After the Fire” coming this Friday. A song about marriage and the battles that come with it. I’m honored to have christinekindredmusic doing this one with me. Single art by thatisaacrudd and produced by the one and only Mike Walter - Producer

Last night felt so special.
Isaac completely surprised me with a post-anniversary dinner — something we never got to do on our actual anniversary this year. I was super pregnant, tired, and definitely not in the mood to go anywhere, lol. But he remembered… and wanted to wait until I was ready.

He planned the sweetest, most intimate dinner just for us at Duke’s, a place that holds so much of our story. From the early days to all the memories we’ve made since, that place will always feel like a part of us.

They created such a beautiful night just for us, the atmosphere, the food (the steak was incredible), the feeling of slowing down together again. 🖤

It reminded me that love doesn’t have to be big or loud to be unforgettable. Sometimes it’s the quiet, intentional moments that mean the most.
This season looks different, but our love keeps growing right with it.

My heart is absolutely breaking knowing that my favorite h***y tonk will be closing its doors this November. Duke’s isn’t just a bar or a venue—it’s a part of our lives, our love story, and our family’s history. From the moment Dustin opened the doors, it became home. I think back to those late date nights during the very first year Isaac and I were together, the nights I got to stand on that stage and sing, the way Ry and Navy felt the love and heard the music in that room… and the joy of celebrating our wedding reception there, surrounded by friends who have become family.

Some of the best nights of my life came from our Let’s Go Girl shows—I adored putting them on and shining a light on incredible women in music. Every single time I walked into Duke’s, it felt like stepping into something special. This loss is heavy for us, but I am so proud of everyone who fought to keep the doors open, and continued to carry on Dustin’s legacy. This place is more than a venue—it’s a heartbeat, a safe haven, and a piece of magic that will forever live in our story. ❤️🎶

I’m beyond honored that I’ll get to play there one last time on September 20th with Taylor Hunnicut—just weeks after welcoming our baby girl. There’s no excuse not to come out, raise a glass, celebrate Duke’s, and make it a night we’ll never forget. Let’s fill the room with the love, music, and memories this place has always deserved.

LONG LIVE DUKES AND THE RED NEON ❤️

This Saturday I’m playing my first show of the year—and my first since Navy got her wings.

It’s happening at Young’s Creek Park in Franklin, IN during the Storm Cancer 5K, honoring the Adalynn Strong Foundation. I’ll be performing by the Hubler Stage starting at 10am, with the 5K kicking off at 10:30am. I’m proud to be part of this beautiful event through the Navy Ray Rudd Memorial, which is helping sponsor the day.

This might be my only show this year. I’m choosing to slow down, spend time with my family, and prepare to welcome our baby girl later this summer. I’m still finding my way back to music—one step at a time. It’ll always be part of me, but I know when I return fully, it’ll be with an open heart… and it’ll look a little different than before.

Thank you for walking alongside me through all the seasons. If you’re local, I’d love to see you there. 🩷
