My next gig is just one week away! My band Scorched Earth is playing next Friday night in Carmel - hope to see some of you central-Indiana folks there!
Our next show is coming up fast - next Friday (the 22nd) up in Carmel! We will be performing with Zero End and 4 Degrees, so get ready to groove and thrash!
The venue is located at 106th & Michigan, if that helps with location... unfortunately, typing the name of the place into FB will probably get you put on some list 🤣

TONIGHT - Catch Ice Howl at Indianapolis Frühlingsfest 2026 DAY 2: Walpurgisnacht--Dance with the witches in German Park! This event is always a good time... there will be German street food out in the park, and Mashcraft brewed the special Maibock beer for the weekend. I will be out there running sound!
The $10 cover charge in the park for this evening only applies to those who are not German American Klub of Indianapolis members (one of many good reasons to join!).
Ice Howl had a great set last night, celebrating the release of The Ledger of Timeless Watchers! If you missed it, you have another chance: come out to German Park this Friday night to catch their performance for the Walpurgisnacht portion of the German American Klub of Indianapolis Frühlingsfest! $10 admission to the park and there will be German fare available. I will be running sound for the evening. Take part in this important cultural tradition, and see a killer metal band at the same time!

Recording with this small-but-mighty bass rig today! The DS-1 is really just boosting the front of the Elf and adding a little growl. Sounds killer through that vintage Trace Elliot 4×10 cabinet! Additionally, I am recording both the mic'ed up cab and the emulated DI out of the Elf... easy way to have mixing flexibility later while still having real amp tone!

Judas Priest released Sad Wings of Destiny fifty years ago this week - half a century ago! As one of the most important records in heavy metal history, it has riffs for days. Here's one of my favorites from the record... this is the ending of "Deceiver" (before the acoustic outro). Give Sad Wings of Destiny a spin today!
